Scout Conduct Agreement

Print, read, sign, and return this agreement to the Scoutmaster.  This agreement must be read and understood by all new boys joining Troop 55!  See BSA Values page.

“The Troop 55 Conduct Agreement: While participating in a troop or other BSA meeting or activity, I understand that certain policies are in place to insure mine and other Scouts’ personal comfort and safety.

While participating in Scout activities, I am expected to demonstrate proper Scout Spirit in my dealings with other Scouts, adult leaders, and the general public.  I understand that by engaging in conduct contrary to the Scout Law, Scout Oath or other policies set forth in the troop guidelines, or by not demonstrating proper Scout Spirit, I may receive one or more of the following disciplinary actions depending on the severity of the infraction:

  • Counseling
  • Temporary removal from the activity
  • Be Sent home from the activity
  • Suspension or permanent removal from membership in BSA Troop 55

In addition, I understand that involvement in the type of conduct listed below are completely prohibited and may, at the discretion of the Scoutmaster or other adult leader, result in my immediate removal from a meeting or activity and my parents will be contacted to take me home:

  • Unauthorized possesion or use of firearms or drugs
  • Posession or use of illegal drugs or alcohol
  • Improper ignition of flammable liquids or solids
  • Ignition of aerosol sprays
  • Improper use of lighters or matches
  • Possession of incendiary devices or fireworks
  • Assaultive behavior
  • Cruelty to wildlife or animals
  • Theft
  • Malicious mischief or vandalism
  • Trespassing or unauthorized entry into buildings, enclosures or fenced areas
  • Repeated disregard of directions of a Senior Patrol leader, Assistant Senior Patrol leader, Patrol leader or designated Patrol leader and designated adult leader
  • Dishonesty
  • Withholding information from an adult leader when asked about a specific violation involving myself or another scout

In order to participate with Troop 55 activities and meetings, I agree to follow the these policies and to live by the Scout Law, Scout Oath, Troop 55 Guidelines and to demonstrate proper Scout Spirit.  I understand that violations of the policies may result in disciplinary action as indicated above.
