Determine the width of a stream (between the two silver markers). Imagine that you need to know the width of the creek. Remember, you cannot cross the creek due to its depth and the presence of hungry Arkansas Alligators (hypothetical). On the west side of the footbridge adjacent to the bathhouse, turn north and go 18 paces to locate the first marker. It is located at the base of a pine tree on the north side. The other marker is also located on the north side of the base of a pine tree on the opposite side of the creek. Each is engraved with the fleur de lei and the letter D Use one of the acceptable BSA methods to determine the answer (salute, stick, or compass method).                 The Width is: 42.44

Determine the height of an object. Go to the southeast corner of the ball field where you must find the concrete support wall over a drainage culvert adjacent to the asphalt path. Find the silver marker engraved with a fleur de lei and H set in the grass between the wall and path. Look back across the ball field and locate the second stadium floodlight from the northwest corner of the field. Using one of the acceptable methods determine its height (felling or stick method). The Height is: 49’8.5”

Turn your answer sheet into your scoutmaster to be evaluated.
