The following article “House Rules” was clipped from The NY Times. These are President Bush’s White House rules.

Attire -- Men must wear ties and jackets at all times in the Oval Office; Women must wear proper business attire.

Brevity -- Briefing papers should not run over a page -- or two pages at most.  Don’t state the obvious.

Punctuality -- Be sensative to the clock, be on time or early for                                     meetings, be efficient with other peoples time.                              Meetings will start and end at the specified times.

Respect -- Respect each other. Return calls promptly. If you like to get calls returned, return other people’s calls.

Work Habits -- Don’t be a workaholic.  Recharge your batteries by           spending time with your family each day and on the weekend.
